Passkey sign-in uses WebAuthn and your device’s built-in biometrics or PIN — no password required.
- Navigate to walley.app and click Sign In with Passkey.
- Your browser displays a WebAuthn prompt. Authenticate using your device’s biometrics (Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello) or PIN.
- Walley verifies your passkey and loads your wallet dashboard.
If your passkey is synced through iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager, you can sign in from any of your linked devices without any extra setup.
Lost your passkey? If you no longer have access to the device or credential manager that holds your passkey, switch to the Import Recovery Phrase tab to restore a temporary session using your 24-word phrase.
Use this method when you cannot access your registered passkey. You’ll need your Party Hint and all 24 words of your recovery phrase in the correct order.
- Navigate to walley.app and click Import Recovery Phrase.
- Enter your Party Hint (e.g.
walley-alice) in the field provided.
- Type each of the 24 words into the phrase input, one word per field, in the exact order they were given to you during wallet creation.
- Click Restore Session.
Walley processes your phrase entirely in your browser. Your recovery phrase is never transmitted to any server.Importing your recovery phrase creates a temporary session only. Walley cannot link your recovery phrase to a new passkey, so your recovery phrase remains the only way to access your wallet from this point forward. Keep it stored securely offline and have it available every time you need to sign in without a passkey.
